1. AMERICASMART Flower magazine partnered with AmericasMart for a special seasonal treat: an inspira- tional design demonstration by Laura Dowling, former chief floral designer at the White House. Laura shared strategies for creating unique and beautiful holiday wreaths. She also signed copies of her new book, Wreaths: With How-to Tutorials. 3. HIGH POINT UNIVERSAL FURNITURE Flower magazine partnered with Universal Furniture during High Point Market for an Authentic Design panel discussion with interior designers Richard Keith Langham and Paloma Contreras, architect Jeffrey Dungan, and blogger Jennifer Boles of The Peak of Chic. Keith, Paloma, and Jennifer signed copies of their books following the discussion. FLOWER ON THE ROAD events 5. BALLARD DESIGNS Flower magazine hosted a trade-only preview of the new Ballard Designs retail store in Oak Brook, Illinois. Guests heard from interior designer and top design blogger Paloma Contreras of La Dolce Vita Blog and Chicago designer Shelley Johnstone. Paloma signed copies of her book, Dream Design Live after the panel discussion. 6. THETA CHARITY ANTIQUES SHOW The Theta Charity Antiques Show in Houston, Texas, is one of the top charity antiques shows in the country, exhibiting fine furniture and d├ęcor from a wide variety of design styles. Flower Editor-in-Chief Margot Shaw joined one of this year's featured speakers, Suzanne Kasler, for a Q&A about Suzanne's new book and timeless designs. 4. SOUTHERN STYLE NOW In Charleston, South Carolina, Flower Editor-in-Chief Margot Shaw, moderated the Southern Style Now opening keynote with Wendy Goodman, longtime editor of New York magazine, and Hutton Wilkinson, designer, author, and creative director of Tony Duquette. VMFA FINE ARTS AND FLOWERS The Fine Arts and Flowers event at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is a spectacular museum-wide exhibition of floral designs inspired by works in the VMFA collection. This year's event featured floral and event designers Lewis Miller of Lewis Miller Design and Remco van Vliet of Van Vliet & Trap Event Design.
